BrakeLoc exhaust brake controller for automatic transmission Ford 7.3L Power Stroke trucks. Connects to the EBPV control wire and turns the factory exhaust back pressure valve into an electronically controlled exhaust brake; includes the AutoLoc to maintain torque converter lock-up in 3rd and 4th gears so the full retarding force transfers. Note: the hydraulically activated EBPV typically takes 2-3 seconds to actuate, and the BrakeLoc is an economical alternative to - not a substitute for - a dedicated exhaust brake system. This product has met EPA reasonable-basis requirements and is legal for sale and use under federal EPA jurisdiction (excludes California); not for sale on licensed California vehicles. Fitment per the manufacturer table: F-250/F-350 1995-1997 and 1999-2003, F-450 1999-2003, F-550 2000-2003.
