Protect your turbocharger from hot-shutdown damage with the BD Diesel Cool Down Timer 2. Shutting down a hot turbo stops cool oil flow to the bearing housing while it is still hot, which can coke the remaining oil and cause premature bearing wear — the Cool Down Timer keeps the engine idling after you turn the ignition off so the turbo cools down properly. It is adjustable for up to 5 minutes of idle time, or works with any K-Type EGT pyrometer probe (sold separately) for temperature-based shutdown.
